How to Connect:

Water and Sewer General and Local Facility Connection Charges

            Any property owner wishing to connect to the District’s water and/or sewer system must pay an equitable share of the cost of the system.  Details on the definition of local facility charges are available from the District in Resolution No. 1534.

 

            Current Local Facility Connection Charges are:

 

            Property owners seeking to connect to the District’s water and/or sewer facilities for which the property owner has not paid an equitable share of the cost of such system as defined in Resolution No. 1534, shall pay the following local facility connection charges in addition to District water and sewer general and special facility connection charges:

            A.        Water Local Facilities Charge:   $4,500.00 per lot or $43.50 per lineal foot of frontage on the water main of the real property to be served, whichever amount is greater:

            B.         Sewer Local Facilities Charge:   $4,500.00 per lot or $48.50 per lineal foot of frontage on the sewer main on the real property to be served, whichever amount is greater.

 

            Property owner seeking to connect to or increase service from (such as a new service or change in service) the District’s water and sewer systems to serve real property abutting or adjacent to general water and sewer facilities for which the property owner has not paid an equitable share of the cost of such system shall pay the following general connection charges in addition to the District’s water and sewer local and special facility connection charges:

 

            A.        Water General Facility Charge

                        1.         Factoria ULID No. 8 Area:

                                    a.  Residential:                      $820/lot

                                    b.  Multi-residential:            $575/unit

                                    c.  Commercial:                     $36,900/acre

 

                        2.         Non-Factoria ULID No. 8 Area:

                                    a.  Residential:                      $1,930/lot

                                    b.  Multi-residential:            $1,350/unit

                                    c.  Commercial:                     $45,000/acre

 

                        3.  Other Uses:  For detailed information on “other uses”

in the Factoria ULID No 8 and non-Factoria ULID No. 8, please call the District office at (425) 235-9200.

 

 

            B.         Sewer General Facility Charge

                        1)         Residential:                           $1,930/lot                 

                        2)         Multi-residential:                 $1,350/unit

                        3)         Commercial:             $19,000/acre

                        4)         Other Uses:  For detailed information on sewer general facilities connection charges for other uses in the District areas, please contact the District at (425) 235-9200.

 

            Periodic Adjustment of Charges:  The charges referenced on this page may be reviewed and adjusted periodically as necessary to include the actual cost to construct facilities planned for construction in the next 10 years as contained in the District’s Water and Sewer Comprehensive Plan.

 

            Rates shown above are accurate as of May 11, 2000.  Please confirm with the District office prior to making formal application for service.

 

 

            In order to apply for new water and/or sewer service from Coal Creek Utility District, the property owner must do the following:

 

            1.         Contact the District at (425) 235-9200

 

            2.         Complete the appropriate application forms

 

            3.         Submit completed plans a minimum of 21 days prior to

                        desired connection

 

            4.         Pay all fees associated with the connections

 

            5.         Have the connection inspected and approved by the District staff

 

           

            Timing for an application after all documents and plans are submitted:

            For connection to an existing water and/or sewer main:  

                                    Approximately 14 days
